My Beauty Must Haves!

If I’m totally honest I’m not your typical girly girl when it comes to make-up and beauty products, some days I don’t even wear make-up. However having said that I have tried hundreds of different products over the years and now I’ve become a bit predictable and stick to my faves- but they are my faves for a reason!

So here’s my run down on my top beauty buys!

I’m not really a lipstick kind of girl but I am obsessed with my lips being moisturised as well as having a touch of shine.
For me everyone should own a TERRY Baume de Rose Crystalline AND a Dior Addict Lip Maximiser. I don’t go anywhere without them. Small compact and serious must haves for any make-up bag.

Lipstick- When I do wear lipstick I  use VB x Estee Lauder Brazilian Nude (available in store at Selfridges) or  Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Golden Sand . I tend to go for brown shades to keep it simple. Both give you a lovely depth and shine and the Chanel is also hydrating! (I used to have this amazing KIKO lipstick that I was obsessed with but it was limited edition and they never did it again! Why do they do that?!)

Shadow- I always get asked about my eyeshadow and I religiously wear the same shadow every time I go out. I hunted for the perfect eyeshadow for ages and a few years ago I found the Becca Ombre Rouge Palette and I never looked back. It’s not only super easy to apply (you really cant go wrong with it) but you can wear it for day or go heavier for the evening- my favourites are the darkest two colours. I use mine everyday and it seems to have lasted me forever so it’s certainly value for money!

Liner– I team this shadow palette with MAC eye liners- Prunella & Strongwilled

Mascara- Mascara is for sure the one thing that makes me look human! I like them full and black so I use Le Volume De Chanel, giving lots of extra volume to your lashes and it doesn’t dry out like some other brands. One coat is great for popping to the gym, but if I’m going out out I put a good few layers on to make them nice and thick!

Brows-I like my brows full but not too defined. I use Chanel Le Gel Sourcils Longwear in Brun. It’s a great brow gel giving just enough colour for day and night. If I’m wanting a fuller brow I use  The Brow Multitasker by Estee Lauder for shape followed by the brow gel.

Foundation– I have worn Chanel Vitalumiere in shade 30, for years. It gives a lovely dewy finish and enough coverage for any occasion. I have strayed a few times to try others but I’ve always gone back to this one.

Concealer- I swear by Le Correcteur de Chanel its not too heavy, it gives enough coverage and its illuminating!

Cover Up- From time to time I struggle with spots and I discovered the Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Concealer. its not only covers spots really well without making them dry it actually heals them with its Tea Tree and healing ingredients.

Bronzer- I love the VB X Estee Lauder bronzer -Saffron Sun. The packaging is just amazing and it really is the perfect bronzer. It’s very light in coverage giving you a sun kissed glow, it can be used to contour and you can build up the colour for a stronger look. Its so versatile which works for me as you can put it in your gym bag and your evening bag. Her highlighter Modern Mercury is also a favourite of mine but with the bronzer its a lot to fit in your make up bag, so I also use NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick- Chardonnay Shimmer which is super affordable and is more compact for your make up bag.

Primer- I currently don’t use a primer but I’m certainly going to invest in one. I’m on the hunt for one.Any suggestions?

Nails- I very rarely wear nail varnish (I’m a self confessed nail nibbler and really wish my varnish would last longer than a few hours) When I do wear it my favourites are both Chanel picks- I just love their varnish.

Le Vernis Longwear in Gris Obscur topped with the best gel top coat ever Le Gel Coat Longwear  –long lasting, strong colour and high shine.

All in all it seem that I have a slight Chanel Make up obsession…maybe its the monochrome packaging.

Let me know if you try any of these products and what you think, or if you have any suggestions on anything I should try let me know!
